IMAGE IN LTD

Image In is ushering in a new era in therapeutic colonoscopy, with technology representing the first real innovation in the technique for two decades.  The Company has developed a high-performance disposable device, enabling the use of a brand-new instrument for each procedure.  The introduction of this device will greatly reduce capital investment in durable colonoscopes and sterilization equipment.  ImageIn's solution improves aspects of both cost and performance. The Company’s design facilitates economical mass production, enabling each colonoscope to be disposable. A series of patent-pending innovations provide high-performance operation – even improving on existing devices -- optimized for a single operation at an affordable price.

RCADIA MEDICAL IMAGING LTD

Rcadia Medical Imaging Ltd specializes in CAD (Computer Aided Diagnostics) for blood vessel analysis applications. Established by a group of image processing specialists from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Rcadia’s aim is to become a market leader in Computer Aided Detection/Diagnostics (CAD) solutions for blood vessel analysis, focusing on Coronary CT Angiography Diagnostics. Rcadia is currently engaged in the development of a suite of tools for automated CT Angiography (CTA) diagnostics for the detection, assessment and reporting of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). For the first time, CT scanners can image lesions of the native coronary arteries with unprecedented clarity and resolution - a vital and unique breakthrough in the radiology and cardiology fields. Rcadia’s suite of tools will play a pivotal role in this revolution. Over the last two years, the Rcadia team has both explored and exploited the CAD field in cooperation with leading radiologists and cardiologists. The Rcadia team also experienced the development of an advanced (hot topic RSNA 2003, 2004) lung nodule detection module and a soft plaque detection and assessment tool for carotid arteries. Rcadia’s CTA flagship product will assist cardiologists and radiologists in medical image analysis to detect calcified plaque, soft plaque, stenosis & aneurysm; measure the volume of plaque formations; segment and locate blood vessels in CT studies; measure the degree of stenosis/aneurysm; and map pathology locations in anatomical structures (segments). Rcadia Automatic tools will save valuable diagnostic time (5-10 minutes instead of 30-60 minutes with other existing tools) and assist with more effective therapeutic decisions.  Rcadia’s vision is to provide diagnostic tools that will help to set predictive criteria for future heart attacks.

SPIROJET LTD

In addition, the Company has recently completed the development of its final standalone Peak Flow Meter.

SYNTHATEX FINE CHEMICALS LTD

Synthatex Fine Chemicals Ltd is a unique chemistry developer which utilizes exclusive technologies to uncover novel organic building blocks.  Synthatex  provides contract chemical research, custom synthesis & drug discovery capabilities that are designed to meet the outsourcing needs of the biopharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.  The Company has a unique platform focused on multiple applications of synthetic compound libraries in health care research and drug development.   Synthatex is developing a New Second Generation Anti Cancer drug Epothilones that offer higher efficacy, better chemistry and possibly less side effects. Synthatex is also working on the Triple Action Anti-Cancer drugs. This project aims to discover & develop a novel class of small molecular weight compounds inhibiting three validated and crucial targets to combat cancer. The compound class aims to inhibit cyclin-dependant kinases, the polymerization of tubulin and topoisomerase. The company is committed to provide chemical solutions to Biopharmaceutical companies & supplys unique molecules to those companies via its novel MCR ( multi component reaction ) technology for the identification of lead compounds that might be selected to become a clinical candidate and powerful drugs.

VETERIX LTD

VETERIX Ltd is an Israeli start-up company focused on development of an advanced, sophisticated Cattle Health Diagnostic System (CHDS) for the beef livestock and dairy cattle industries.  VETERIX products consist of a telemetric monitoring system based on state-of-the-art wireless communications, including technology and digital signal processing, in order to provide automatic and continuous monitoring and control of vital physiological parameters of each animal. The initial product system will enable continuous monitoring of the animal's health by measuring several critical parameters such as heart rate, respiration rate, and body temperature and rumination duration.  VETERIX ’s initial product, The Ruminate Health Diagnostics System, is directed to the industries of dairy cows and beef cow's herds. The product is developed with the ultimate goal of achieving high performance, reliability and cost reduction for livestock farmers.  The Cattle Health Diagnostics System is another advanced, technological method for continuous wireless communications and monitoring which consists of implanted bolus that will measure physiological parameters. Utilizing radio transmission of the computed parameters, the VETERIX expert system will also analyze the data and provide recommendations to guide management decisions.  The initial main applications are focused on early alert of cow diseases; identification and alert of various stresses (such as heat stress, estrus detection, etc); analysis of feed use efficiency; and detection of metabolic problems. The novel and innovative VETERIX CHDS tool will function as an complete expert system dedicated to improving the quality of livestock products and reduce the threat of disease, weather related disasters and bioterrorism attacks by providing early warning signals for potential pathological conditions and disease outbreaks. VETERIX is committed to improve animal health and welfare, as well as to enhance the meat and milk quality and increase efficiency of production. Founded in 2004, VETERIX operates within the framework of MEYTAG High Tech Ventures - a technological incubator with support from the Office of the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (OCS). Funding in the amount of $500,000 has been provided to VETERIX by the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS).
